October 30

Before I get back to writing the S.O.S's, I want to thank you all for the prayers you sent in behalf of my son Quinn over the past few weeks. I want to share with you what your prayers of faith created. (the photos below). Quinn graduated from the police academy last Tuesday evening, a mere 2 weeks after his near-fatal heart attack. As he stood on stage with 50 other graduates I could not help but think how blessed I was to be there with him. It was an amazing night for me (although, I could not help worrying that it was a little "too much" for him just 2 weeks after such an event). Yes, I Surrender!!

Quinn continues to heal and is spending his days resting, healing and doing a few things around the yard. To look at him you would never know what he has been through. I guess it helps to be 23 years old. There has been no cause found for why this happened. He does not have a problem with his heart. Nor does he have heart disease.

Through this whole time, we have been held and touched my God and it has been one heck of a few weeks. I am still breathing deeply as I aknowledge what has happened...as is Quinn.

I ask for continued prayers as he continues to heal any damage that may have occured to his heart. We are asking for a complete recovery and a full and healthy life for Quinn.

For those new to the S.O.S, I am sorry for this rambling. It is rare that I send a message like this. But rare events require a new way of looking at the world. My own heart has been shown the depths of my love for this child. He is my hero.

Blessings and thanks,
Lisa
