Let us pray:

Dear God,

This is the moment that I give my choices to You.

Today is the day I begin anew as I Surrender each and every
moment of my life into Your Divine care.

Why have I waited so long?

I don't really know except that the world has held me in fear.

The shackles of this fear are released by You in this moment as I give it all to You.

If You are with me, than who can be against me?

Help me to be still in each moment and remember this.

Help me to fully realize Your power and love.

Help me to let go of my past.

Help me to see my future as the bright future You see for me.

Help me in all ways, in each moment, so that I do not return to fear.

I Surrender to You.

February 9

Heavenly Father/Mother God,

As always I begin my prayer with thanks and gratitude for all that you give to me each moment of my life.

As I rest my faith upon Your altar, I am at peace, knowing You reside within me at all times.

I feel powerful with the knowledge of Your constant walk with me on this Earth.

I feel You here with me, I acknowledge Your presence and I give thanks that I am never alone.

As I rest in Your care I am empowered to be all that I can be and to do all that I can do in Your name.

I feel Your power, I become Your power.

I feel Your peace, I become Your peace.

I am Yours and You are mine. We are one on this journey and I entrust all of my life into Your hands.

I Surrender This and all is well.

It is through our deepest fears that we experience the sweetest Surrender.

When we have fallen to our knees, this is when we are open the most.

It is in these moments, when our heart and mind crys out, that we hear what God has said all along.

I Am the great I Am....and I Am here for you.

Never fear, for I Am with you always.

Today I went and did something I don't normally do, I went to the I Surrender This website and looked around. I read some of the things I had written as well as the writing of others that I have put onto the website.

One of those really stood out for me today. It is on the "Surrender Prayer" page and is part of the HeavenLetters written by Gloria Wendroff. Here is the part that touched my "heart" as I continue to have moments of fear about my son's recent heart attack:

If you lack happiness, it is because you have crowded it out. Unpack your heart.Surrender its worry.Surrender its control.Surrender all its fears.Surrender all its attachment.Surrender all from your heart except its true nature of love. Give yourself freedom, for that is love. Let go of your false responsibility for others and allow Me.Let Me enter their heart and yours. Let Me take hold in your heart. I place My flag there. On one side the flag says Freedom and on the other it says Love, for freedom and love are synonyms for one another.
